Everybody is to chose a different act and scene!
Once you have chosen your act and scene, read it twice and comment on what you thought of it. It means much more that simply reading it and writing about what happened, you must understand some to the metaphors, allegories, motifs, themes, etc.
Act 3, Scene 5
ReplyDeleteI think this scene has a lot to do with death. The talk about darkness a lot and about a bird named a lark which is supposed to mean easy stuff but their relationship is anything but that. Then the mother comes and tells her she will get married with another man, Paris. The interesting thing about this scene is that it starts at night when Romeo and Juliet are together but ends in the day when she receives bad news. The entire scene is full of contrasts.
Act 2, scene 2
ReplyDeleteI think that in this scene Romeo and Juliet met for the first time because Romeo have seen Juliet, but he hadn´t known her. Romeo found Juliet after the party above a window and they fall in love.
They declare their love and they start a secret marriage.
Act 2,scene 2
ReplyDeleteI think that in this scene Shakespeare uses a lot of metaphors and similes. One of my favorite is: "what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
Who is already sick and pale with grief,
That thou her maid art far more fair than she:
Be not her maid, since she is envious;
Her vestal livery is but sick and green
And none but fools do wear it; cast it off.
It is my lady, O, it is my love!". I think that in this sonnet, he compares Rosaline and Juliet, saying that he doesn't love Rosaline anymore, know he loves Juliet, and he thinks she's his live.
I think that he was talking about how love makes people to do anything, fight for it, no matter what, for example: the family or your roots.
i also think that in this scene they met her. this part is very interesting because they declair what they feel also the secret marrige is a very a good succes so for me that means that the in love the people does many things to get her love. they even would cross a sea of fire and that the love is the most strong force.
ReplyDeletea my act was 2 and the scene 2
ReplyDeleteact 5 scene 3
ReplyDeletethis scene is the end of the play and I think is important becuse it says things like the people who didn't let Romeo and Juliet be together should be punished because their love had nothing to do whit the differences between them.
act5,scene4
ReplyDeletethis scene i think that represents the love of Romeo to Juliet but i continue with out understanding why he kill himself if they loved each other, why they don`t continue with their love.
Thanks for participating!
